Commissions

Commissioning a painting or portrait can be a very rewarding process, and I am always happy to discuss your particular requirements with no commitment.

After establishing your requirements via phone or email we would arrange an initial meeting, typically around 2 - 4 hours. You are welcome to visit me in my studio although I often prefer to meet in your home or chosen environment. This gives me a better understanding of how to approach the piece and allows us to discuss locations, clothing and any other elements that we may decide to incorporate into the composition.

I may make drawings and studies for reference but this time is primarily spent getting to know the sitter, their preferences and any needs and concerns they may have.

I'll then arrange a number of further sittings as required, depending on the nature of the commission.

Alternatively you may decide that you would like to have a piece of my work which involves something more personal to you, be it a narrative, a particular model, or interior and so on. I'm happy to discuss how we can create a work that represents both my own style and your ideas.

Creating a piece in this way can be a very enjoyable and creative process for us both.

Timescale

Timescales vary according to the complexity of the piece and my current commitments. It is sometimes possible to accommodate a particular date, but please enquire as much in advance as possible if you have such a date in mind.

Please contact me for pricing information as each piece is quoted for individually.
